The 17th Oxford Offshore Symposium

The Oxford Offshore Symposium is borne of 17 years of development and dedication and is thus deserving of its reputation as one of the most highly acclaimed, unique and sought after courses in the international financial industry.

Through continual evolution, each year has introduced new elements in the programme as the organisers strive to ensure that the Symposium remains respondent to the ever-changing needs of all those involved in this sector.

Bringing together distinguished professionals from around the globe, the Symposium provides an opportunity for delegates to interact and debate with an international faculty of lecturers thus benefiting from their collective knowledge and expertise throughout the duration of this weeklong event.

The programme has been prepared to equip delegates with the knowledge and tools essential for global wealth management. Traditional lectures are combined with panel discussions and open floor debate. Each day is structured to address particular themes in logical succession and will be chaired by an expert in that particular field. Focusing upon the obstacles that stand in the way of protecting, preserving and distributing wealth; the methods of overcoming such challenges; and techniques for International Tax Planning.

To enhance the practical element of the programme, delegates will work throughout the week in small groups on a case study. Each group will present their individual case to a panel of judges on the final day. This will be followed by a reception and formal closing dinner at which the winning case study group will be announced and presented with the Willoughby Memorial Award.
